Speaker Bio
With a 25-year career rooted in Mexico's consumer sector, I am a seasoned leader passionate about integrating financial strategy with sustainable and responsible business practices. I am proud to have spearheaded two landmark initiatives: the first sustainability-linked bond issuance in Mexico's food industry and the launch of one of the country's pioneering sustainable supplier factoring programs.
Since joining Grupo Herdez in 2010, where I initially led Financial Planning, I have progressed to my current role overseeing Finance, Sustainability, and Corporate Communications. In this capacity, I drive initiatives that create long-term value while fostering corporate responsibility.
My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Administration and Finance from Universidad Panamericana, complemented by postgraduate studies at IPADE Business School and Collective Academy. I have further honed my expertise through executive programs at esteemed institutions such as Columbia Business School, Yale University, and INSEAD.
Beyond my corporate responsibilities, I am deeply committed to driving positive change. I serve as President of the ESG Subcommittee for Fondo de Fondos (Fund of Funds) and am an active advisory board member for Global Compact Mexico and a member of the UN Global Compact CFO Coalition for the SDGs. My dedication extends to fostering global citizenship as an advisory board member for Education for Sharing, a non-profit organization, and to supporting climate action through my advisory board role at Savia Ventures, a venture capital fund dedicated to climate solutions. Through these multifaceted engagements, I actively contribute to promoting responsible business practices and sustainable development on a broader scale.
